The Cannabis Retail Specialist will engage with customers to assist them in understanding, selecting, and purchasing our diverse range of cannabis offerings, including flowers, concentrates, edibles, and topicals.

This role requires a knowledgeable individual who can provide insights into the benefits, effects, aroma, and flavor profiles of our products while maintaining a friendly and compassionate demeanor.

The specialist will also support the management team in daily store operations, adhering to established policies and guidelines.

• Deliver expert knowledge and personalized service to customers by explaining the potential benefits of our cannabis products.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and thoroughly.
• Relay any customer requests or unresolved issues to management without delay.
• Responsible for accurately processing customer orders using the Point of Sale (POS) and inventory management systems in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Adapt to varying sales volumes and maintain an active presence by engaging in continuous learning, fostering a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring the dispensary is well-stocked, clean, and operational while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
• Achieve or exceed daily sales targets by following a customer-centric sales approach with tailored product recommendations.
• Assist management in ensuring compliance with all operational procedures and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture by treating all individuals with respect and fostering a curiosity about cannabis.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or Store Lead.

• Must remain informed and comply with all regulations set forth by the state cannabis authority.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement as established by the state cannabis authority (21 years).
• Must successfully pass all background checks mandated by the state cannabis authority.
• Flexible availability to accommodate varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Consistent and punctual attendance is required.

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a cannabis retail environment is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in hospitality, pharmacy, or retail settings is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management capabilities.
• Effective communication skills with customers and team members.

• Work primarily takes place in a dispensary setting.
• Frequent interaction with staff, vendors, and customers, including occasional engagement with law enforcement and state inspectors.

• The individual in this role will regularly communicate with customers regarding their medical needs and product offerings.
• Must be able to operate computer/POS systems and standard office equipment.
• The position requires the ability to remain stationary while assisting customers or operating the register.
• Frequent movement and transportation of dispensary products weighing up to 30 lbs. is necessary.
• Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand, and walk as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of a dispensary agent.
