Position Overview

SAIC is looking for a committed Senior Executive Scheduler to deliver on-site administrative support within a high-stakes environment, collaborating closely with the Department of Defense (DoD) General Counsel (GC), who serves as the principal legal advisor to the Secretary of Defense.

  • This role encompasses a variety of intricate responsibilities, including the arrangement of meetings, events, and travel for the GC, the preparation of briefing materials, the maintenance of record-keeping systems, and the provision of exemplary service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The position necessitates regular interaction with senior leadership across the Pentagon and the broader DoD community, including top officials from various DoD Components, industry collaborators, academic institutions, and international partners to fulfill organizational objectives.
  • The office environment is fast-paced, with the potential for extended hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary Executive Office Scheduler, managing the GC's calendar with precision.
  • Collaborate with front office personnel to ensure timely and effective scheduling actions.
  • Coordinate with various offices to resolve scheduling conflicts and arrange meetings and appointments.
  • Handle phone communications, escort authorized personnel, and maintain organized files.
  • Perform document management tasks, including copying, scanning, and file production, while overseeing basic office operations.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • A Bachelor's Degree along with 6 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support or scheduling roles.
  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficient understanding of administrative and clerical functions, processes, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with DoD, Joint Staff, and Military Department standards and protocols.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and classified information, including high-level correspondence.
  • Capacity to leverage established relationships within various DoD components and agencies.
  • A flexible team player, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels within the defense community.
  • Availability to provide on-site support within the Pentagon during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

Security Clearance Required:

  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
