Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a committed Senior Executive Scheduler to deliver administrative support on-site, collaborating closely with the Department of Defense (DoD) General Counsel (GC), who serves as the principal legal advisor to the Secretary of Defense, a position confirmed by the Senate and held by a four-star military officer.

  • The role encompasses a variety of intricate responsibilities, including organizing meetings, events, and travel arrangements for the GC, compiling briefing materials for discussions, maintaining documentation systems, and offering professional assistance to both external and internal stakeholders.
  • This position necessitates regular interaction with senior leadership within the Pentagon and throughout the DoD, including top officials across various DoD Components, industry partners, academic institutions, and international collaborators to fulfill organizational objectives.
  • The work environment is fast-paced, with the possibility of extended hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary Executive Office Scheduler, managing the GC's calendar on a daily basis.
  • Collaborate with front office personnel to ensure timely and effective scheduling actions.
  • Coordinate with various offices to resolve scheduling conflicts, meetings, and appointments.
  • Handle phone communications; assist non-cleared personnel within the office; and maintain organized files.
  • Perform document management tasks such as copying, scanning, and file production; serve as the principal scheduler for the GC; and uphold essential office operations.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree accompanied by a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support or scheduling.
  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficient understanding of administrative and clerical functions, processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with DoD, Joint Staff, and Military Departments' standards of practice.
  • Capability to manage classified, law enforcement, and sensitive information, including executive-level correspondence.
  • Ability to leverage established relationships with other DoD components and agencies.
  • A flexible team player, adept at engaging with all levels within the customer environment and other sectors of the defense community.
  • Willingness to provide on-site support within the Pentagon, Monday through Friday.

Security Clearance Required

  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
