Cover Whale is experiencing significant growth and is eager to expand its team of Business Development experts. The Business Development Associate will work under the guidance of the Regional Business Development Leader, contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing premium production within their designated area. This position entails overseeing established partners as well as newly onboarded partners, ensuring their effective integration and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and development teams to strategize, manage, and drive distribution and partner premium generation.
- Maintain relationships with Tier 3 partners and newly onboarded (Tier 4) partners to achieve or surpass revenue targets.
- Represent Cover Whale in discussions with distribution partners.
- Identify and implement strategies to deepen engagement with existing partners.
- Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators while consistently meeting or exceeding objectives.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of business development, partner management, and onboarding processes.
- Enhance brand perception among current trading partners and prospects through continuous outreach.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced project management setting and/or delivering consulting projects in customer-facing roles, preferably within the insurance sector.
- Experience in onboarding and guiding new clients to realize and replicate value.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of accounts with strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities; capable of discussing technical details and business strategy in a single conversation.
- Demonstrated capacity to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all organizational levels, including executive and C-level.
- Outstanding phone and video presence along with professional communication skills; proven ability to maintain composure under pressure and tight deadlines.

Compensation:
The base annual salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000, determined on an individual basis, and is part of a comprehensive compensation package that includes a discretionary bonus of 10% and other benefits sponsored by Cover Whale.
