Job Title: Membership Services Representative

Join the YMCA of Orange County team as a Membership Services Representative and play a vital role in connecting with our members, promoting membership sales, and providing exceptional customer service.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly professional and motivated individual to join our team as a Membership Services Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting interviews and facility tours with prospective members, engaging with current members, and managing recruitment and retention tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews and facility tours with prospective members to promote membership sales.
  • Engage with current members to promote retention and increase membership enrollments.
  • Manage and monitor recruitment and retention tracking and reporting.
  • Identify and follow up with prospective members via branch promotions, software reports, and internal/external messaging.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director and marketing department to generate new prospective members.
  • Handle all new and follow-up phone calls regarding facility membership in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform member relations duties, including handling complaints and inquiries, processing new memberships and monthly fee payments.
  • Follow check-in and service procedures, cash management and receipting procedures, and handle telephone reception.
  • Perform computer data entry and retrieval, including inputting registrations and updating rosters.
  • Maintain the Service Desk in a neat, clean, and well-organized fashion.
  • Stock work areas with forms and stationery supplies.
  • Perform light custodial duties, including washing, drying, folding, and restocking towels at Branches where applicable.
  • Be proactive with information and knowledge of all program information and changes.
  • Follow and enforce safety standards and other policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, marketing, customer service, or a related field.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Knowledge of customer service, excellent communication skills, and PC ability.
  • YMCA membership or operations experience is preferred.
