Job Summary

The Call Center Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients/drivers by answering all calls and recording interviews into the computer or directing callers to appropriate departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer Calls: Respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner, directing non-rental or claim calls to the appropriate department or person.
  • Provide Assistance: Talk with clients/drivers by phone to assist them with obtaining a rental vehicle, reporting an accident or glass claim, and help with receiving roadside assistance.
  • Back Up Operator Calls: Assist with answering calls when other operators are unavailable.
  • Input Information: Obtain all required information from callers and accurately input it into the computer system.
  • Locate Rental Agencies: Find the nearest rental agency or body shop and provide clients/drivers with necessary information.
  • Deal with Vendors: Handle any outside vendor problems or questions as necessary.
  • Communicate with Clients: Contact clients to receive approval for rental upgrades, drop fees, or other requests outside of client parameters.
  • Assist with Claims: Assist clients/drivers with questions or problems relating to their car rental or claim, referring them to the proper department or management as needed.
  • Back Up Fax/Email Claims: Back up all fax/email claims submitted.
  • Communicate Professionally: Communicate with all contacts in a highly professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Assist Other Departments: Assist other departments as necessary with projects.
Evening Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Send Loss Notices: Send loss notices on non-drivable vehicles.
  • Handle Notifications: Handle notifications on serious injuries/fatalities as needed based on client parameters.
  • Assign Body Shops: Assign body shops for non-drivable vehicles when necessary.
  • Arrange Rental Cars: Arrange for rental cars and confirm reservations when In-house Enterprise Representatives are unavailable or after 4:50pm.
  • Transfer Phone Lines: Ensure proper transferring of phone lines.
  • Close Down Office: Make sure the office is closed down properly prior to locking up.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year experience in an office, customer service, or call center environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • HS Diploma Required.
  • Must be 18+ years of age.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
