About the Role:

As a Regional Purchaser, Americas, you will play a key role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives for Amadeus, a world-class company in the travel technology industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including category leaders, stakeholders, and vendors, to identify and address sourcing needs.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform sourcing decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business units, technical owners, and vendors.
  • Manage and facilitate the procurement process, including vendor identification, negotiation, and contract administration.
  • Monitor and report on procurement metrics, including spend analysis and supplier performance.
  • Provide input and support for the creation of content for internal communication tools.
  • Coordinate local contract implementation tasks with category buyers and users.
  • Support the creation of local/regional contracts of adherence to global agreements.
  • Support the monitoring of contracts compliance; propose improvement opportunities.
  • Act as the entry point of contact for the procurement function at a local level.
  • Address escalated issues/questions from local stakeholders within agreed-upon timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, law, or engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sourcing/procurement in a global company.
  • Previous experience in IT and/or engineering combined with understanding of the purchasing practice.
  • Proven delivery focus, solid communication skills, and project management experience.
  • Resilient, with a good sense to lead activities towards progress, and ease to interact with a diversity of different teams and stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel (US and Latin America frequently, Europe occasionally) - 25%.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish speaking a plus.
  • Location: Bogota or Miami (Miami preferred) - must be able to work a hybrid schedule.
