Job Title: Payment Reconciliation Analyst

Pace is seeking a skilled Payment Reconciliation Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely payment of all unapplied payments to the corporation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate reports to identify unapplied payments and resolve application issues.
  • Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Contact customers to resolve unapplied cash and documents process, apply, create invoice adjustments, coordinate refunds or work with other departments to properly apply the credit memo.
  • Escalate issues, if necessary, to the collections group.
  • Communicate unresolved unapplied payments to collections periodically.
  • Report short-payments to the collection group.
  • Process and communicate refund payments to AP.
  • Maintain accounting, financial and statistical records and prepare periodic or special reports.
  • Assist with training of staff as required.
  • Provide backup to the cash receipts staff.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional accounts receivable experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Principles and practices of accounts receivable transactions.
  • Practices of reviewing financial documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Computer applications related to the work.
  • Financial record keeping and accounting practices and techniques.
  • Correct English usage, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.
  • Standard business arithmetic, including percentages and decimals.
  • Principles and practices to serving as an effective project team member.
