Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and approve all invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and send invoice deduction notices to vendors as necessary.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended payment terms with vendors when cash is restricted.
  • Prepare and process accounts payable checks.
  • Generate and maintain accurate accounts payable reports and files.
  • Assist in the analysis of accounts and preparation of financial reports as required.
  • Support the accounting team with monthly closings and special projects.
  • Collaborate with the accounts receivable team on special projects and tasks as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounts payable or a related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience in accounts payable or a related field.
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems, including Microsoft Office and accounting software.
