Job Overview

The Regional Sales Executive is a comprehensive sales position, responsible for initiating contact with key restaurants, businesses, and catering services within the designated region. The primary goal is to drive revenue by engaging decision-makers, arranging both in-person and virtual meetings, and securing contracts. Collaborate with the General Manager to pinpoint potential restaurant partners in the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute actively to sales growth within the designated region.
  • Utilize CRM systems to capture customer needs, information, and concerns effectively.
  • Support the development of team members to reach their full potential.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer service to enhance branch profitability.
  • Develop and routinely engage with territory accounts.
  • Increase business penetration within each account.
  • Conduct warm and cold calls to continuously prospect for new clients.
  • Respond to emails on a daily basis.
  • Introduce new products and services to target accounts.
  • Exceed customer expectations through exceptional service and relationship management.
  • Research and follow up with customers regarding special orders.
  • Identify new construction projects and contract opportunities.
  • Mentor and assist in training new team members.
  • Help manage local inventory and reduce dead stock.
  • Address customer complaints proactively, viewing them as opportunities to enhance service and foster customer loyalty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Administrative Duties:

  • Review Open Order Reports on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Utilize aging reports to identify and address problem areas.
  • Engage with customers and collaborate with the credit department on collections.
  • Ensure credit memos are processed accurately and promptly.
  • Review and adjust customer pricing agreements as necessary.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews to compare current volume with historical data.

Customer Service Focus:

  • Oversee the daily maintenance and security of the facility.
  • Resolve elevated customer issues as required.
  • Build strong relationships with local representatives and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and account management.
  • Experience in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong work ethic and drive are essential.
  • Open to feedback and able to implement constructive criticism.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adept at analyzing and interpreting internal reports.
  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable strategies.
  • Experience managing elevated customer issues.
  • Strong analytical, business planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills and willing to update them as needed.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Working conditions vary by location, including restaurants, retail environments, warehouses, and stock rooms. The role may involve exposure to various work surfaces both indoors and outdoors.

Physical Effort:

Frequent sitting for extended periods, focusing on data and screen viewing, typing, and using office equipment. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 85% travel within the assigned territory.
