Position Overview: Project Engineer

Company Overview: Windwalker Group is dedicated to delivering innovative engineering and construction solutions. We are currently seeking a meticulous and skilled Project Engineer to provide essential support for our operations.

Key Duties:

  • Documentation Management: Generate and manage project documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), material submissions, and construction inquiries. Evaluate and propose solutions to ensure the efficient and safe utilization of resources.
  • Design Support: Assist in the review of technical designs, ensuring adherence to design policies and relevant regulations. Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Site Oversight: Conduct site assessments, analyze architectural plans, and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with timelines, specifications, and safety protocols. Document findings and communicate with relevant personnel.
  • In-House Design Development: Create cost-effective design solutions for maintenance and repair projects. Generate technical drawings, specifications, and work statements.
  • Proposal Management: Participate in pre-solicitation site evaluations, conduct technical assessments, and oversee construction activities. Facilitate training for operational and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Producing precise project documentation and submissions.
  • Conducting thorough technical evaluations of design materials.
  • Ensuring adherence to engineering standards and regulations.
  • Executing site evaluations and developing cost-efficient solutions.
  • Overseeing project schedules and safety compliance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering or related disciplines.
  • Familiarity with Federal, State, and Department of Defense engineering standards.
  • Strong skills in preparing and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and local safety regulations.
