Overview:

Become an integral part of Hoyle Tanner and Associates, Inc., a leader in the field of municipal engineering. We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Northeast Municipal Engineering Services Group (NEME). This role is essential in delivering innovative and effective solutions for wastewater engineering projects while fostering strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing public wastewater conveyance and treatment initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a collaborative team focused on addressing various technical challenges in wastewater projects.
  • Working closely with Project Managers to oversee project budgets, scopes, schedules, and overall development.
  • Contributing significantly to the creation of technical and pricing proposals.
  • Monitoring project progress by reviewing hours and expenditures against completion percentages, providing insights to maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Building and nurturing professional relationships with clients and understanding their organizational needs.
  • Directing the design efforts for wastewater projects, including hydraulic and process calculations, while coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
  • Managing engineering personnel and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Exhibiting proficiency in technical writing, editing, and delivering presentations.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and sharing best practices within the team.
  • Estimating person-hours and developing project budgets.
  • Acting as a technical authority in wastewater engineering, ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Offering pathways for career advancement within Hoyle Tanner, whether on a technical engineering or project management trajectory.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in NH, MA, ME, or VT, with the ability to obtain reciprocal licenses.
  • Strong communication skills, with a solid grasp of project financials, scheduling, and client management.

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with a specialization in wastewater process engineering.
