Position Summary

The Project Manager is instrumental in supervising the completion of design refresh projects for our corporate clients across the U.S. and Canada. This role involves direct client interaction and collaboration with franchise owners, trades, subcontractors, building officials, and other members of the Archmill team. The position offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote work with on-site responsibilities based on project schedules. Projects typically span from one to four weeks. The ideal candidate should possess experience and comfort in engaging with all levels of leadership and demonstrate strong relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee overall construction efforts to ensure projects are executed as planned.
  • Manage milestone reporting.
  • Collaborate with project management and sales teams to develop and update project scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and inspect construction activities of all trades, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Maintain a database of trades and subcontractors.
  • Ensure subcontractors and vendors complete work to Archmill's standards before authorizing payment.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers and their representatives, including vendors and employees.
  • Analyze issues and propose solutions; keep management informed of any challenges related to assigned schedules and commitments.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Prepare and distribute regular progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible job site experience.
  • 4+ years of design-build experience is strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience overseeing subcontractors and managing project schedules.
  • Strong understanding of all construction phases and the ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and budgets.
  • 4+ years of client interaction experience with strong technical, organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is a plus.
  • Project planning skills, including creating project schedules and Scope of Work documents based on construction drawings.
  • Risk management skills, including identifying project risks and formulating responses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong computer software skills.
  • A strong work ethic, pride in work, team orientation, acute attention to detail, and a desire to learn.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
