POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager is essential in overseeing the successful completion of design refresh projects for our corporate clients across the US and Canada. This role involves direct client interaction and collaboration with franchise owners, trades, subcontractors, building officials, and other Archmill team members. The position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote work with on-site responsibilities based on project timelines. Projects typically range from one to four weeks in duration. The ideal candidate will possess experience and comfort in engaging with all levels of leadership and demonstrate strong relationship-building skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans.
  • Manage milestone reporting.
  • Collaborate with project management and sales teams to develop and update project scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and inspect construction activities across all trades, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of trades and subcontractors.
  • Ensure subcontractors and vendors meet Archmill's standards before authorizing payments.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and their representatives, including vendors and employees.
  • Analyze challenges and propose solutions; keep management informed of any issues related to schedules and commitments.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Prepare and distribute regular progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience on job sites.
  • 4+ years of design-build experience is strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience managing subcontractors and driving project schedules.
  • Strong understanding of all construction phases and the ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and budgets.
  • 4+ years of client interaction experience with strong technical, organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is a plus.
  • Project planning skills, including creating project schedules and Scope of Work documents based on construction drawings.
  • Risk management capabilities, including identifying project risks and developing risk responses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong computer software skills.
  • A strong work ethic, pride in work, team orientation, acute attention to detail, and a desire to learn.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30% of the time.
