Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to manage daily operations of our construction project sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial building projects, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Establish and manage project schedules
    • Control project costs and ensure timely completion
    • Direct procurement of tools and materials necessary for work completion
  • Communication and Team Management
    • Facilitate communication and updates with internal and external customers
    • Direct and control all job site personnel, equipment, materials, and suppliers
  • Quality and Safety
    • Consistently inspect for and maintain standards of excellence in safety, quality, and productivity
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Regularly, accurately, and professionally document project schedule and progression, work orders, meeting minutes, back charges, purchase orders, RFI's, back charges, photo documentation, safety conditions, payroll, and performance of direct reports

Requirements

  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience
    • 5 years of experience as a Superintendent over jobs specifically related to commercial building projects
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Demonstrated leadership and delegation skills
    • Knowledge of building process and methods
    • Proficient with personal computer and word-processing and spreadsheet software
    • Read and interpret blueprints
    • Basic understanding of all construction trades and subcontractors' scopes of work
    • Basic understanding of accounting principles
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language)
    • Excellent customer service skills and initiative
    • Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements

Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities; regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, hear. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test. A valid driver's license is required with a good driving record.
