Position: Mechanical Engineering Specialist

Location: South Wales

This dynamic engineering firm is seeking to enhance its design team due to a surge in new project contracts.

The organization is renowned for its design proficiency and serves as a preferred supplier for various global applications.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Engineering:
Utilize sound engineering principles to ensure the effectiveness of proposed design solutions, including:
- Design for manufacturability
- Reliability assessments
- DFMEA and PFMEA
- Tolerance and stress analysis


2. Project Oversight:
Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure successful delivery of all project components.


3. Product Testing:
Establish and execute product testing protocols, including mechanical (endurance, shock, vibration) and environmental (temperature, humidity, chemical) evaluations.


4. Client Engagement:
Offer technical support and insights to clients throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proficient in SolidWorks for mechanical and plastic component design, with a solid understanding of stress, wear, and failure analysis
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Project Engineering or Project Management within mechanical product design
