Job Summary

This position supports the technical services of the Code 102 Infrastructure Division and Code 1021 Facilities Branch at McLaughlin Research Corporation. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in support of new projects initiated by Center Management and product line code work requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and compare alternative layouts or designs, which utilize equipment of various kinds and capabilities in diverse physical arrangements.
  • Consider structural, mechanical, and hydraulic features in the design process.
  • Work on preliminary designs and specifications, evaluating frequent changes in design and performance that affect assigned equipment prior to and during production.
  • Review new approaches to circuitry and power distribution or incorporation of automatic self-test methods in equipment design.
Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance required; current clearance a plus.
  • Goal-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's level degree in an Engineering discipline or Industrial Design.
  • 7 years of professional experience in mechanical, structural or electrical/electronic design.
