Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer II to join our team at Marriott Hotels. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
  • Carry equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and requisition parts and supplies as required.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting.
  • Knowledge of hotel engineering computer programs and systems.
  • Ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
