Job Overview

Octagon Talent Solution is seeking a Production Operations Supervisor. This role is pivotal in managing the planning and execution of production tasks to guarantee effective and timely project delivery for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of production workflows, exceptional organizational capabilities, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once. You will serve as a key communicator between production, design, and project management teams to facilitate seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project leads and production teams to formulate detailed project schedules and timelines.
  • Ensure all preproduction activities are executed on time, including organizing meetings, coordinating resources, and managing deadlines.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior production personnel, offering support and advice to improve their skills and performance.
  • Encourage a cooperative team atmosphere that promotes open dialogue and mutual respect among team members.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for enhancing the production process and implement best practices to boost efficiency and quality.
  • Oversee production workflows and modify schedules as needed to accommodate urgent tasks or shifts in project scope.
  • Effective Communication: Act as the main point of contact between production, design, and project management teams to ensure project alignment and clarity.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project status, obstacles, and proposed solutions.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage the distribution of resources, including staff and equipment, to maximize productivity.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors as necessary to support production efforts.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all production outputs adhere to quality standards and meet client expectations.
  • Review and authorize proofs and final products prior to client delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Production Management, Project Management, Graphic Design).
  • Demonstrated experience in production management or a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or graphic design context.
  • Solid grasp of production methodologies, project management principles, and team dynamics.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to thrive under pressure and manage several projects concurrently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a talent for fostering relationships across teams.
  • Familiarity with project management software and production scheduling tools (e.g., Filemaker Pro).
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Six Sigma or other process enhancement methodologies.
  • A creative background or experience in graphic design is advantageous but not mandatory.
Work Environment:
  • May involve occasional overtime, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
