Your Role
As a Mechanical Engineer - Early Career, you will contribute to the Payload Launch Site Support Services (PLSSS) Program within Lockheed Martin Space. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting a variety of mechanical engineering design, analysis, and operational tasks.
  • Applying mechanical engineering principles in an industrial or commercial setting.
  • Working in a launch site environment, which may require physical activities such as climbing and emergency evacuations.
  • Participating in periodic travel, overtime, and alternate shifts as necessary.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Practical experience or coursework in mechanical or structural engineering.
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/ Poly security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Preferred Skills
While not mandatory, the following skills are highly desirable:

  • Experience in a design, build, and test environment.
  • Familiarity with CREO Parametric software.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting technical information to various stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to dynamic work environments.
  • Understanding of mechanical structural calculations for aerospace applications.
  • Experience with data acquisition and analysis of sensors.
