ManTech is in search of a proficient NSSL Launch Ground & Infrastructures System Engineer to assist the Air Force in transforming National Security Space Launch methodologies. This position entails working alongside emerging Launch Service Providers and contributing to the Air Force NSSL launch initiative.

We are eager to welcome skilled individuals to our team as a Launch Ground & Infrastructures System Engineer with a strong background in space launch vehicle design, production, and operational processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver expertise in Atlas V and Delta IV Launch Ground and Infrastructures Systems engineering.
  • Support various aspects including ground mechanical support equipment, electrical ground support equipment, and infrastructure development.
  • Engage in Engineering Review Boards and conduct risk evaluations.
  • Assist in acquisition tasks and systems engineering methodologies.
  • Perform Design Center Walkdowns and cross-analysis of infrastructure systems.
  • Collaborate with Aerospace Corporation, Launch Vehicle Contractors, and Launch Sites.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance Required.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Strong mentoring and training capabilities.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Exceptional communication skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regular travel to various locations is necessary.
  • Flexibility in working hours for launch operations is expected.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Proficient operation of office equipment and effective communication with team members.
