Position Overview:

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Pastry Production Specialist is responsible for consistently crafting high-quality cakes for our customers while ensuring exceptional service by meeting production requirements. By adhering to proprietary recipes and production techniques, the Specialist engages in the meticulous baking process for our delectable cakes available in various flavors and sizes. Work Schedule:
  • Availability required from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities:
  • Precisely follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods to achieve productivity targets.
  • Utilizes measuring tools, commercial-grade mixers, ovens, and other equipment effectively for cake preparation.
  • Prepares raw ingredients and equipment for baking, places cake pans in the oven, and monitors the baking process closely.
  • Ensures proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked goods while adhering to product rotation standards and maintaining baking logs.
  • Assists the Bakery Manager in developing the cake production schedule, monitors inventory of baking supplies, and alerts management when supplies need replenishing.
  • Evaluates raw ingredients and finished cakes to ensure compliance with NbC quality standards and reports any quality control issues to management.
  • Maintains cleanliness, sanitizes, and restocks the workstation, ensuring all baking supplies are ready for the next shift.
  • Complies with health and safety regulations and NbC policies, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene standards.
  • Maintains a reliable attendance and punctuality record.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, interpret documents such as recipes and safety guidelines, and apply knowledge to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Understanding of basic measurement units used in the U.S.
  • Capability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting moderate to heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods.
  • Proficient in operating commercial-grade ovens and bakery equipment while working near high-heat sources.
  • Attention to detail in using precise measurements, adhering to timing, and managing a fast-paced production schedule.
  • Ability to assess products, processes, and surroundings to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Disciplined, organized, and self-motivated, with the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
Education, Certifications, and Experience Requirements:
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • While no formal education or prior experience is necessary, previous experience as a Baker or in a similar operational support role within a bakery, restaurant, or food service environment is advantageous.
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
