About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Changeover Specialist to join our team at Berry Global. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality checks on parts being produced and monitor machine cycle times.
  • Start up machines after mold changes and cycle them as necessary.
  • Oversee the duties of each mold setter and complete process and start-up paperwork.
  • Verify the accuracy of travelers at start-up and ensure all parts meet quality standards.
  • Review production schedules and direct changeover crews according to priorities.
  • Assist all production shifts as needed and assist operators with color changes.
  • Maintain and adhere to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
  • Identify and record problems relating to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Initiate action to prevent occurrences of non-conforming product and suggest actions for continual improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Prior blow molding experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and push/pull loads in excess of 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment and use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
  • Able to work overhead or in awkward positions on a frequent basis.
