Job Title: Financial Program Assistant

Position Overview:

The Financial Program Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the financial management processes within our organization. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage various financial tasks and assist in the preparation of essential documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the research and formulation of responses to inquiries from higher-level authorities.
  • Support the development of timely responses and facilitate rapid information dissemination.
  • Contribute to the creation of responses to both internal and external inquiries, ensuring all supporting documentation is accurate and comprehensive.
  • Develop, update, and maintain program briefings and relevant documentation utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and other software tools.
  • Prepare detailed budget and program briefs for presentation to senior leadership and officials.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on program planning and status for management review.
  • Utilize various financial tools and databases to support program operations, including data consolidation, analysis, and tracking.
  • Facilitate Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to improve processes and achieve efficiency savings.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and training materials for financial processes.
  • Ensure the maintenance of electronic files and backups of program financial history and records.
  • Implement proper configuration management of files for easy identification and access.
  • Adhere to established filing procedures and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Keep financial records and documentation current and readily accessible upon request.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in DoD/Navy financial management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • More than 2 years of experience in DoD/Navy financial management.
  • DAWIA Level II BFM Certification or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in Process Management, Technical Writing, and Training Guide Development.
