Job Title: Financial Program Assistant

Job Overview:

The Financial Program Assistant plays a critical role in supporting financial operations within the organization. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in researching and preparing comprehensive responses to inquiries from higher authorities.
  • Support the development of timely responses to urgent requests.
  • Contribute to the creation of responses for both internal and external inquiries, including necessary documentation.
  • Design, update, and maintain program briefings and related materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and other relevant software.
  • Prepare financial and programmatic briefs and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Generate detailed reports on program planning and status for management review.
  • Utilize various financial tools and databases to support program operations, including data consolidation and analysis.
  • Facilitate Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to improve processes and achieve efficiency gains.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and training materials for staff.
  • Ensure the organization and backup of electronic files related to program financial history and records.
  • Maintain proper configuration management of files for easy access and identification.
  • Adhere to established filing procedures and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Keep financial records and documentation current and readily accessible upon request.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in DoD/Navy financial management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • More than 2 years of experience in DoD/Navy financial management.
  • DAWIA Level II BFM Certification or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in Process Management, Technical Writing, and the development of Training Guides.
