Job Overview

We are currently in search of qualified Personnel Security Specialists for full-time roles to support our esteemed government client.

Key Responsibilities:

Personnel Security:

  • Assessing documentation to determine personnel eligibility for access to classified information and sensitive duties.
  • Assisting in the creation and coordination of the Command's security awareness and education initiatives.
  • Advising command members on relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring all personnel handling classified information are appropriately cleared and that security investigation requests are accurately prepared and monitored.
  • Maintaining records of personnel security investigations, clearances, and access.
  • Coordinating continuous evaluation programs for personnel eligibility regarding classified information access.
  • Conducting security briefings and debriefings for incoming and outgoing personnel.

Information Security:

  • Ensuring access to classified information is restricted to eligible personnel with a legitimate need to know.
  • Overseeing the preparation and maintenance of security classification guides.
  • Ensuring compliance with information release protocols to public and foreign entities.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures for document safeguarding, personnel access controls, and information handling.

Industrial Security:

  • Verifying contractor security clearances and access requirements.
  • Collaborating with specialists to develop security requirements for contractual agreements.
  • Ensuring security considerations are integrated into procurement planning.

Physical Security:

  • Establishing requirements for the physical protection of personnel and assets.
  • Administering policies to maintain the security integrity of sensitive areas.
  • Managing the Command's Physical Security and Loss Prevention Program.

Security Management:

  • Creating and updating command security procedures, including emergency plans.
  • Advising leadership on security matters in the absence of designated personnel.
  • Documenting and reporting security threats and violations.
  • Assisting in the development of government-approved security training for staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in security roles, including Personnel, Industrial, Information, and Physical Security.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong administrative support experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with security systems and processes such as TASS, e-QIP, DISS, and others.
  • Possession of a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a T5 investigation.
