Position Summary:

As a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineering Lead, you will be at the forefront of our Houston operations, guiding a team to enhance their technical capabilities in the design and construction support of water and wastewater treatment systems.

Your role will be pivotal in executing and overseeing projects, fostering client relationships, and securing new and challenging opportunities in the industry.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of projects for various clients, coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring that deliverables are met efficiently.
  • Lead the planning, design, and construction processes for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including the development of construction documents and specifications.
  • Engage in client development initiatives, contributing to proposals and presentations for Water/Wastewater Facility Design projects.
  • Collaborate with Area Leaders and client Account Leaders to define project scopes and fee estimates, ensuring profitable delivery and risk management.
  • Coordinate with Arcadis' top-tier technical advisors in water/wastewater process modeling and facility design.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all Arcadis practices, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Travel as necessary for project site assessments, client engagements, and business development activities.

Qualifications:

Essential: A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in the water/wastewater sector, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering. A PE License in Texas or the ability to obtain it within six months is required.

Preferred: Over 15 years of industry experience and a Master's Degree in a related field.

  • Robust technical background with a proven track record in delivering water/wastewater treatment plant design projects.
  • Experience in client development and successful project proposal submissions.
  • Ability to deliver technical presentations and engage in project pursuit interviews effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with various project teams, both locally and remotely, to enhance client deliverables.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects with budgets exceeding $1 million.
