Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to contribute to our projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers in overseeing and guiding engineering teams, managing timelines, tracking budgets, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs that meet Ardurra's standards.
  • Lead projects from initial concept through to the preparation of bid-ready documentation, which includes design calculations and coordination with various disciplines and subconsultants.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and facilitate project approvals.
  • Involve in a diverse range of projects, including:
    • Planning, analysis, and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
    • Enhancements and upgrades to existing treatment plants.
    • Technical advisory services for clients.
    • Design and analysis of water distribution systems, including pumping and storage solutions.
    • Design and analysis of wastewater collection systems, including lift stations.
    • Master planning, hydraulic modeling, condition assessments, and capacity evaluations.
    • Management of services during the construction phase.
Role Expectations:
  • Oversee budgets and schedules for multiple engineering projects.
  • Act as the Engineer of Record and technical lead for assigned projects.
  • Facilitate communication with clients, subconsultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Assist in developing project scopes, budgets, and timelines based on client input and manage any necessary adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support Project Managers in the allocation of junior engineering staff to various projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise the project team’s activities.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications and cost estimates, collaborating with in-house construction administration personnel.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff on standard design practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the water/wastewater field.
  • Possession of a State of Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong technical writing capabilities for the development of engineering reports and studies.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of anticipating project needs, working independently or with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to manage projects within established budgets and timelines.
  • Proficient in collaborating within a project team environment.
