Position Summary:

As a Senior Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer, you will spearhead a team focused on advancing their technical expertise in the design and construction support of water and wastewater treatment facilities.

This role is pivotal within our Houston operations, where you will oversee project execution, foster client relationships, and drive the acquisition of innovative and challenging projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of projects for various clients, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring teams meet all deliverables.
  • Lead the planning, design, and construction phases of water and wastewater treatment plants, collection systems, and lift stations, including the creation of construction documents and specifications.
  • Engage in client development initiatives, contributing to strategies for proposals and presentations related to Water/Wastewater Facility Design projects.
  • Collaborate with Area Leaders and client Account Leaders to define project scopes and fee estimates, optimizing for profitable outcomes while managing risks.
  • Coordinate with Arcadis' top-tier technical advisors in water/wastewater process modeling and facility design.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, supporting their professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all Arcadis quality and safety standards throughout project execution.
  • Travel as necessary for site visits, client engagements, and business development activities.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in the water/wastewater sector.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • PE License in Texas or the ability to obtain it within six months.

Preferred:

  • 15+ years of industry experience.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant engineering field.
