Currently, HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Municipal Engineer to join our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Water/Wastewater Municipal Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing and preparing construction documents, calculations, specifications, and analytical reports for water and wastewater treatment facilities, water distribution systems, wastewater collection networks, pump stations, site layouts, and drainage systems.
  • Executing complex tasks that require judgment in the evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering methods and practices.
  • Acting as the owner's representative, coordinating inspection and observation activities, reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and other construction-related communications, and overseeing startup and commissioning processes.
  • Facilitating collaboration among engineers and the broader multidisciplinary project team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conducting design development sessions and preparing contract documents in partnership with other team members.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing water/wastewater and municipal projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant civil engineering software.
  • Experience in project engineering and project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing abilities.
  • A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture.
Preferred:
  • A Master's degree is desirable.
  • Preference will be given to local candidates.
