Position Overview:

The Project Manager specializing in Water and Wastewater Facilities at EHRA Engineering will engage in the application and enhancement of technical skills in water and wastewater treatment, project oversight, and leadership. This role requires the ability to guide a multidisciplinary design and construction team, offering expertise to both internal and external stakeholders regarding water and wastewater systems, treatment methodologies, evaluations, modeling, and design. Clear and effective communication of information, ideas, and instructions is essential, both verbally and in writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects of small to moderate size and complexity; assess project feasibility; ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of assigned projects; identify challenges and associated technical issues; devise technical strategies to resolve problems and meet client requirements.
  • Develop engineering designs and prepare construction documents and specifications for moderately complex engineering initiatives.
  • Obtain plan approvals from relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Secure necessary permits for water and wastewater facilities.
  • Act as an engineering consultant for Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs).
  • Facilitate project meetings.
  • Plan and execute tasks of greater scope and lead specific components within the project framework; coordinate team members to author and co-author reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve organizational objectives; contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain external relationships to identify and cultivate new service opportunities and address client needs.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and market dynamics that may influence service delivery and client requirements.
  • Mentor junior staff in developing technical, project management, and business development competencies.
  • Work with the design team to define project scope, budget, and design direction; ensure adherence to design and construction timelines and budgets.
  • Provide regular updates on project status throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Assist in the formulation of company design standards by reviewing construction documents to ensure compliance with established design criteria.
  • Participate in committees as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient understanding of applicable TCEQ regulations and state laws; familiarity with MUD regulations and facilities is advantageous.
  • Experience in the rehabilitation of water and wastewater facilities.
  • Knowledge of water modeling software, such as H20 Net, is preferred.
  • Experience with industrial, municipal, or county facility projects is a plus.
  • Experience with large wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) projects is beneficial.
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required Certifications: E.I.T. required; P.E. license preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a vehicle may be necessary.
