Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership & Management:
    • Lead teams to manage and deliver engineering projects on time and within budget.
    • Serve as the Engineer of Record ensuring technical excellence from initial planning through to project completion.
    • Collaborate with Project Managers to develop comprehensive project scopes, budgets, and schedules while maintaining flexibility to adapt to client needs.
  • Technical Expertise & Innovation:
    • Drive the planning, analysis, and design of water and wastewater treatment plants, distribution systems, and collection systems, including innovative retrofits of existing facilities.
    • Spearhead master planning and hydraulic modeling efforts to develop robust, future-ready infrastructure solutions.
    • Implement best practices and innovative approaches to improve project outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals.
    • Liaise with regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to navigate complex project requirements smoothly.
    • Represent the company at industry conferences and events, positioning yourself as a thought leader in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Team Mentorship & Development:
    • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
    • Provide guidance on complex engineering challenges, helping to elevate the skills and expertise of the entire team.
    • Encourage a collaborative approach to problem-solving, where team members are empowered to contribute ideas and innovate.
Requirements
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Master's preferred).
  • Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in water/wastewater engineering, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas (required).

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in water and wastewater treatment, distribution systems, and hydraulic modeling.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
