Position Overview:

  • Deliver thorough financial assistance and direction to patients concerning insurance plans, medical billing, treatment costs, living expenses, and financial challenges.
  • Work in partnership with healthcare providers to identify cost-efficient treatment alternatives.
  • Act as an advocate for patients facing billing complications and strive to alleviate financial burdens.
  • Provide financial advisory services to patients, medical departments, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant education or experience in medical insurance and client service.
  • Experience in patient navigation is preferred.
  • Must obtain specific certifications related to financial navigation within six months of employment.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification protocols for various payers is essential.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient demographics.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deliver professional and compassionate customer service.
  • Willingness to travel between different locations as required.

Compensation:

Hourly wage ranges from $19.35 to $23.22, influenced by factors such as experience and geographical location. Pay equity is a priority, and offers are made with consideration of internal equity. It is uncommon to hire at the top of the salary range.
