Overview

FLEXSYS America is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Financial Reporting Executive to enhance our finance department and support our ongoing success.
  • The Financial Reporting Executive will be instrumental in assisting the Corporate Controller with all facets of financial oversight, including financial disclosures, audit adherence, the formulation of internal control frameworks, and ongoing enhancement initiatives.
  • This position will serve as a vital resource for the Corporate Controller and finance team in assessing transactions and researching, documenting, and conveying accounting implications to the organization for both external and internal reporting.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a robust accounting background, exceptional analytical capabilities, strong communication skills, and a proven history of achieving results in a dynamic and deadline-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all external and statutory audits;
  • Facilitate the annual audit process by preparing schedules, supplying documentation, and coordinating with auditors;
  • Ensure adherence to all pertinent regulations, standards, and accounting principles;
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with GAAP;
  • Analyze complex and/or atypical transactions/contracts, identify issues, conduct research, and draft technical memoranda;
  • Establish and uphold internal control policies and procedures to protect company assets and guarantee the accuracy of financial information;
  • Draft new and updated accounting policies;
  • Assist in accounting and policy training for the global finance team;
  • Address, resolve, and provide recommendations on standard and/or routine business and accounting policy interpretation inquiries;
  • Manage all aspects of foreign exchange accounting;
  • Oversee the balance sheet to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting, in alignment with internal and statutory compliance;
  • Provide analytical support to management for operational decisions, including potential acquisitions;
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver financial insights and support decision-making;
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification required;
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a corporate setting;
  • Experience in public accounting is essential, with a preference for Big 4 experience;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards;
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; familiarity with SAP S/4Hana is advantageous;
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail;
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with professionals across various functional areas to resolve complex organizational issues (tax, legal, FP&A, HR, corporate accounting, and operational accounting).
