Role Responsibilities:

The Billing Specialist will collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure accurate processing of client invoices. The ideal candidate will quickly adapt to various e-billing platforms while maintaining confidentiality and precision in all tasks.

  • Generate electronic Proformas efficiently.
  • Edit and finalize monthly Proformas for distribution.
  • Prepare invoices, including fixed fee, split, and joint billing, as well as replenish retainers.
  • Work closely with legal professionals to resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Process and submit electronic invoices through designated invoicing platforms, ensuring follow-up and resolution of outstanding items.
  • Handle client inquiries regarding billing issues as necessary.
  • Track and manage invoice distribution effectively.
  • Learn and implement new software applications and assist in developing operational procedures.
  • Compile month-end reports for necessary distribution.
  • Support additional accounting functions as required.

  • Prior experience in legal, accounting, or architectural billing (2+ years preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

The selected candidate will be required to undergo a credit and background check as part of the hiring process.
