Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team as a Kitchen Manager. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment and Training: Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline kitchen staff; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions.
- Menu Planning and Cost Control: Plan menus by consulting with the General Manager; estimate food costs and profits; adjust menus to ensure profitability.
- Inventory Management: Control costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; minimize waste; ensure high quality of preparation.
- Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations.
- Staff Development: Develop training manuals and best practices; enhance staff knowledge of products and increase individual sales.
- Financial Management: Manage inventory, control costs, and maintain a positive profit and loss statement.
- Guest Service and Sales: Provide exceptional customer service; build sales and maintain high restaurant standards.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a restaurant kitchen manager.
- Ability to adhere to labor, beverage, and operating cost budgets.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
