Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations and lead our culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in executing daily kitchen operations and ensure seamless food preparation and service.
  • Directly supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food orders to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Inspect food quality and processes to hold the team accountable for existing and implemented standards.
  • Attend regular meetings to ensure accurate execution of service and functions.
  • Manage kitchen staff, coordinate food orders, and supervise food preparation and cooking.
  • Check food plating and temperature, establish portion sizes, and schedule kitchen staff shifts.
  • Price menu items in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager and order food supplies and kitchen equipment as needed.
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques and maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area.
  • Hire and oversee training of new kitchen team members and assist with execution of weekly inventory.
Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Sous Chef, Restaurant Manager, or Head Chef.
  • Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes and familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, conflict management abilities, and ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends and certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus.
