Job Summary

The Chemical Operator position at Aurorium LLC is responsible for performing all duties associated with the manufacturing of chemical products at our facility. This role will be responsible for batch processing, including charging material, processing batches, monitoring and recording data, loading, unloading, and cleaning equipment, packaging product, maintaining a safe and orderly work area, and assisting other production areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform duties associated with batch processing and overall chemical manufacturing for our site
  • Ensure workplace safety by practicing and following all site safety policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Operate chemical equipment, including reactors, pumps, stills, centrifuges, dryers, and other manufacturing equipment with proficiency
  • Properly weigh, measure, blend, and check liquid and chemical raw material to assure batches manufactured contain proper materials and quantities
  • Handle disposal of all hazardous waste properly and in accordance with policies to ensure compliance
  • Achieve production needs and goals consistently while making efforts to minimize product waste and downtime
  • Maintain the cleaning and upkeep of department equipment
  • Adhere to all Aurorium Standard Operating Procedures
  • Operate forklift to move and stack raw or finish goods
  • Maintain detailed records and documents shift information daily
  • Perform daily activities independently with minimal supervision while maintaining communication with the PTL and Lead Operator
  • Assist in cross-training team members and co-workers as needed
  • Maintain outstanding housekeeping and 5S
  • Observe loading process to ensure accurate completion
  • Sample containers and deliver samples to the Quality Lab for testing/analysis
  • Perform SAP transactions corresponding to the operating duties executed
  • Work indoors and outdoors (potentially extreme temperatures) and with chemicals and chemical waste products, some of which can be hazardous
  • Work with a team to organize tasks - rotating job functions and coordinating break times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned/required
