We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team at Perfect Placement Group, LLC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing and developing sales and margins of our countertop products with fabricators and K&B's, as well as our Tile product lines with retailer/dealer networks within an assigned geographic territory.
Key Responsibilities- Develop Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers within your assigned territory.
- Provide Product Knowledge: Assist customers by providing in-depth knowledge and training on our products to ensure store personnel can effectively present and negotiate with consumers.
- Understand Market Competition: Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition, and product positioning to effectively overcome these factors.
- Manage Sales Tools: Ensure displays, samples, and selling tools are available for customers.
- Consult on Retail Pricing: Understand retail business financials to consult with dealers on pricing, advertising, promotions, and ROI.
- Quote Prices and Prepare Contracts: Quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for customer orders.
- Estimate Delivery Dates: Estimate delivery dates based on company delivery schedules.
- Analyze Sales Reports: Review and analyze sales reports to identify sales potential with current customers and potential new customers.
- Utilize Marketing Tools: Leverage marketing tools such as catalogs, brochures, and vendor collateral to broaden reach and promote company products.
- Research Customer Needs: Research and analyze customer needs and demands based on market information.
- Investigate and Resolve Customer Claims: Investigate and resolve customer claims/problems with deliveries, returns, and credits.
- Attend Trade Shows: Attend trade shows as required.
- Travel: Travel 40% - 80% locally, occasionally nationally and/or internationally.
- Bachelor's Degree: Required.
- Channel Distribution Sales Experience: Two (2) plus years' experience in channel distribution sales.
- Related Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related industry experience; natural stone, slab, or hard flooring industries.
- Math Skills: Strong math skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to determine solutions for customers.
- Results-Oriented: Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Computer Proficiency: Intermediate computer proficiency.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license.
- Sales and Negotiation Skills: Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Communication and People Skills: Good communication and people skills.
- Confidence and Motivation: Confidence and motivation to work toward targets.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Good organizational and time management skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well alone or within a team.

- Bilingual: Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
