Service Operations Supervisor

Location: Dallas, Texas

Overview: We are in search of a Service Operations Supervisor to collaborate closely with our Field Generator Technicians and clients. The primary goals of this role are to enhance employee safety, optimize field engineer productivity and utilization, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure effective and timely execution of scheduled operations.
  • Manage staffing levels to maximize personnel utilization and support ongoing employee development.
  • Oversee cost management and inventory control while achieving revenue and margin objectives.
  • Conduct hiring, coaching, and termination processes for Field Engineers with the guidance of the Regional Director.
  • Review and approve time-off requests, expense reports, and other administrative functions related to direct reports.
  • Implement company policies fairly to promote employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, ensuring that Field Engineers are properly trained and equipped, including compliance with State and Federal Hours of Service regulations.
  • Confirm that job assignments and field quotes are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for customers experiencing service-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years in a service-oriented industry, with at least 4 years in the generator or utility sector.
  • Preferred 2-4 years of management experience.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical generator operations is advantageous.
  • Proven customer service experience, including negotiation, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong typing and computer skills; proficient in Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Experience with ERP or Service Management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass a drug test and background check, with a clean driving record.
