Objective of the Event Operations Supervisor: To efficiently oversee the daily activities of the Events Department. This includes providing support and direction to the banquet staff, the Catering and Convention Services team, and the Convention Services floor department. Effective communication with all hotel departments is essential to ensure successful events that enhance guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of the Event Operations Supervisor:

• Manage and support the Events Department while collaborating closely with the Food and Beverage Director and other hotel divisions. Leadership duties may also encompass Convention Services Set Up and Banquet Beverage.

• Supervise, empower, lead, coach, and motivate the banquet team, including captains, food servers, and lead house attendants, to achieve outstanding guest service and high associate engagement.

• Assist the hotel in attaining top service scores on Meeting Planner surveys. Ensure clear communication and understanding with guests and other departments by reviewing Banquet Event Orders. Responsible for the timely and appropriate setup of all functions and meetings while adhering to food, beverage, and meeting specifications.

• Proactively assess staffing and equipment requirements.

• Ensure coordination and execution of all events with Culinary, Stewarding, Catering/CS, CS Floor, and Beverage departments.

• Maintain a high-energy, positive, and professional demeanor.

• Develop innovative and creative decor for banquet function spaces.

• Oversee both short-term and long-term banquet functions in front and back of house operations.

• Foster an environment that upholds the highest standards of quality service through effective hiring, training, development, promotion, and continuous reinforcement.

• Administrative responsibilities may include managing payroll, reports, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory, and budgeting for food and beverage functions.

• Conduct daily inspections of the banquet department and all function spaces to ensure compliance with health regulations and corporate standards.

• Generate ideas for special events and holiday functions.

The Event Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role within the hotel's overall Food and Beverage team. Collaborating with the Restaurant Manager, Executive Steward, Beverage Manager, and Room Service Manager is essential to ensure a successful Food & Beverage operation.
