Sales Role for Communications Solutions

The Business Account Executive is responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory. Primary services include coax delivered Internet, video, and voice. Ancillary services include custom hosting, desktop security, data backup, data storage, toll-free, additional email addresses, static IPs, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new customers and achieve sales and revenue goals through successful sales of bundled services.
  • Develop and implement a Territory Plan to expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Generate all sales leads through various prospecting tactics and work every lead from initial contact to sale.
  • Place orders through order management software and work with the Account Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, billing forms, and sales reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model.
  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels.

Compensation

The base pay for this position generally ranges from $47,800.00 to $94,900.00. The actual compensation offered will consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This position has a commission earnings target starting at $54,000.
