Work Schedule: 8am - 4pm, Tuesday - Saturday

Position Summary:

The Community Support Specialist (CSS) plays a vital role in assisting individuals to achieve fulfilling lives within their communities. This position focuses on empowering clients to develop skills that promote their independence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and attending healthcare appointments.
  • Encouraging clients to engage in community activities and fostering social connections.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a background check with a clear criminal history.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire (covered by Service Alternatives).
  • Valid driver's license, along with personal vehicle and insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current NAR/CNA certification (covered by Service Alternatives).
  • Completion of a 75-hour Long-Term Care Worker certification or possession of an exemption letter (covered by Service Alternatives).
