Position Overview

Cocoon House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young individuals, families, and communities to overcome the challenges of homelessness. We are currently in search of a committed Youth Support Specialist to become a vital part of our team at the Transitional Living Program.

The successful candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with youth, a comprehensive understanding of effective youth development strategies, and a commitment to positively influencing the lives of those we assist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fostering supportive connections with young individuals and team members
  • Upholding healthy boundaries
  • Offering assistance during crisis situations
  • Adhering to reporting and regulatory protocols
  • Implementing trauma-informed practices
  • Overseeing youth activities and ensuring their safety
  • Helping with daily living tasks and meal preparation
  • Providing transportation and support for various appointments
