The Territory Manager will be responsible for overseeing an assigned service territory, with direct supervision of route representatives. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a Safety Culture: Foster a culture of safety within the team and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Coach and Develop Team Members: Effectively evaluate, coach, and develop Route Sales Representatives (RSRs) in your territory to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Manage Customer Relationships: Create a pervasive sales culture that fosters team selling and ensures customer satisfaction. Visit all required customers each quarter to review growth and service opportunities.
- Resolve Service Requests: Ensure RSRs respond to and resolve all service requests in a timely manner.
- Lead by Example: Set clear expectations for customer service and lead by example to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Travel and Field Work: Spend 60% of time traveling with service professionals, conducting observations, and visiting customer locations.
- Recruit and Hire: Recruit, select, and hire Route Sales employees to ensure the team has the necessary skills and expertise.
- Training and Development: Deliver and participate in training to ensure customer retention and service goals are met.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary administrative work to improve customer satisfaction, including coordinating collections for accounts receivable and protecting merchandise control processes.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Two years of service and route-based industry experience, with a proven track record for growing customer accounts.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, and customer service skills. Considerable negotiation skills and computer proficiency, including working knowledge of MS Office software.
- License Requirements: Driver's license and automobile insurance on personal vehicle.
