Position Overview:

The Customer Service Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the processing of customer invoices for TBL Services. The responsibilities encompass:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing freight payments for both domestic and international shipments, including batching freight bills and addressing inquiries from carriers and customers.
  • Utilizing TBL Services Software to enhance the freight payment workflow and resolve any related issues.
  • Acting as the primary contact for customer inquiries regarding freight payment needs and collaborating with TBL Operations Department personnel.
  • Handling phone communications and managing the scanning of carrier freight bills into the Freight Payment system.
  • Sorting and managing incoming mail, with the ability to lift packages weighing up to 30lbs.
  • Maintaining frequent communication with TBL Services employees to coordinate information flow, resolve errors, and fulfill customer requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Auditing carrier freight invoices and managing outstanding balances.
  • Conducting month-end accrual reporting for customers.
  • Assisting in the Customer Call Center as needed for routing and carrier assignments.
  • Supporting the implementation process for new customers.
  • Fostering positive relationships with vendors and carriers.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED is required. Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in a customer service role, with prior office experience being highly desirable. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, coupled with strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills, is essential. A collaborative team spirit and proficiency in PC applications, particularly MS Office, are also required.
