Senior Officer, Compliance – Remote Opportunity

In this pivotal position, you will deliver anti-money laundering (AML) compliance assistance to Western Union agents, ensuring adherence to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, and other relevant anti-money laundering regulations applicable to Money Services Businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Assess internal controls and AML compliance initiatives for agents through transaction evaluations, compliance audits, and training sessions. Provide AML compliance assistance to Western Union agents and their affiliates. Conduct agent program evaluations on a quarterly basis and manage your case load autonomously. Support agents in aligning with company policies and procedures regarding anti-money laundering. Oversee more complex program evaluations, including referrals from agent risk management and financial intelligence that necessitate advanced risk assessment skills. Cultivate compliance relationships and offer guidance to extensive agent networks. Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

Required Qualifications

Proficient experience in anti-money laundering (AML), Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), Suspicious Activity Reporting Systems (SARs), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), or fraud compliance. Minimum of 4 years of experience in compliance, auditing, risk management, or BSA compliance. Strong verbal communication and training/presentation capabilities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory. Self-sufficient worker with exceptional multitasking skills. Highly developed interpersonal and customer service abilities. Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications. A four-year degree is preferred. Willingness to travel up to 30% as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

The on-target earnings range is $90,000-105,000 annually, which includes a base salary and short-term incentives based on individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary depending on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
