This role is responsible for coordinating and administering various responsibilities within the HCSC regulatory office, working with high-risk issues and departments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the annual updates of regulatory policies and procedures
  • Ensure all HCSC employees complete the regulatory training
  • Develop and distribute regulatory information via intranet and internet website
  • Track and report on required initiatives under federal and state laws
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Legal and 6 years of experience in the health insurance industry
  • OR 10 years of experience in the health insurance industry
  • Experience communicating with external government agencies
  • Experience independently managing complex issues across multiple divisions
  • Experience leading and providing guidance to intra and interdepartmental staff
  • Knowledge of federal and state health insurance laws
  • Knowledge of HCSC's functional areas and departments
  • Ability to lead and manage projects with a corporate focus
  • Communication skills with Senior Management
  • Negotiation skills resulting in business process improvements
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills
  • PC proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes
Preferred Requirements
  • HIPAA, Privacy, or Compliance certification
  • Paralegal, JD, MBA, or equivalent degree
Work Arrangement

This role is a hybrid position with an in-office requirement of 3 days a week.
