As we embark on significant projects, including enhancements to the Pacific Northwest Power Grid, we are expanding our internal billing team.

Position Summary
The Billing Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing the Billing & Revenue department, which processes approximately 60 invoices on a biweekly basis. Key duties include verifying services provided, manually generating invoices using Excel, and tracking payments as they are received. We seek a candidate with strong Excel skills and exceptional organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize various systems, including Excel, to facilitate the calculation of costs associated with goods and services.
  • Accurately compile invoices with supporting documentation based on contractual agreements on a bi-weekly and monthly schedule.
  • Ensure timely and precise billing for services rendered while maintaining comprehensive records of payments received.
  • Address and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes.
  • Maintain and monitor multiple related data platforms with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and distribute billing, Accounts Receivable, and other financial reports as per the established schedule.
  • Document and uphold billing processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accuracy and provide necessary support.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in billing, accounting, costing, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other timekeeping systems is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, vlookup, and other formulas for data analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player with a commitment to fostering effective teamwork.
  • Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines when necessary.
  • Ability to manage high-volume and repetitive tasks.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Compensation: $32.00/hr
We provide weekly paychecks via direct deposit, and upon eligibility, we offer health insurance, accrued paid sick time, and a retirement savings option.
