Role Overview:

The Anesthesia Operations Specialist will oversee daily administrative tasks related to the Anesthesia program.

You will engage with the entire site team and various hospital departments, including the Medical Staff Office, as well as collaborate with community providers and specialty physicians.

Working closely with the Program Manager and Senior Coordinator, you will ensure the program's performance and efficiency, contributing to enhanced workflow processes, communication, and standards, alongside onsite initiatives for operational, financial, and clinical performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Senior Coordinator in developing and managing the Anesthesia team schedule, collaborating with the site Program Medical Director and staffing coordinator for proactive planning and addressing critical staffing needs.
  • Participate in internal staffing discussions with the Program Medical Director and Staffing coordinator, ensuring timely follow-up on scheduling challenges.
  • Coordinate onsite interviews for physicians and CRNAs with local leadership.
  • Facilitate the orientation and onboarding processes for new physicians and CRNAs.
  • Review physician and CRNA shifts for payroll accuracy, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between Sound and the Hospital Medical Staff Office.
  • Build and maintain relationships with various hospital departments to provide necessary information and resources.
  • Communicate important announcements to the Anesthesia team and maintain essential team documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Provider Enrollment, Billing, Payroll, and Compliance.
  • Provide administrative support to the Program Medical Director, including case assignment scheduling and special projects.
  • Coordinate monthly team meetings, managing scheduling, agendas, and meeting minutes.
  • Handle incoming communications, including phone calls, faxes, and mail.
  • Maintain and distribute a Master team list to key hospital personnel.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
  • 1-2 years in healthcare customer service or relevant experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation: Pay range is $16-$30 per hour, determined by experience and the complexity of the supported programs.
